The opening battle of the final Niagara campaign in the War of 1812 was fought on this site of 120 hectares (300 acres) now maintained by the Niagara Parks Commission. Visit the home of Laura Secord, heroine of the War of 1812. This brave woman walked 32 km (20 miles) through enemy lines to warn the British forces of an impending attack.
