    Old Fort Erie

    History comes alive at this recreated 1812 garrison. Knowledgeable staff portray soldiers, officers and other 19th century characters. Facilities on site include a snack bar, picnic pavilion, gift shop and playground. Military displays and tactical re-enactments occur throughout the season.

    Chippawa Battlefield

    The opening battle of the final Niagara campaign in the War of 1812 was fought on this site of 120 hectares (300 acres) now maintained by the Niagara Parks Commission. A self-guided tour describes the battlefield and a memorial service is held each year on the 5th of July.

    Laura Secord Homestead

    Visit the home of Laura Secord, heroine of the War of 1812. This brave woman walked 32 km (20 miles) through enemy lines to warn the British forces of an impending attack. Today, costumed interpreters recount her adventures in this restored building. Ice cream shop adjacent to homestead serves light refreshments.
